Join our dynamic team as a Bar Security Officer on Friday and or Saturday evenings from 6pm to close, and play a vital role in ensuring a safe, secure, and enjoyable environment for all patrons and staff. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for maintaining order, preventing incidents, and providing exceptional customer service within the bar setting. Your vigilance and professionalism will help create a welcoming atmosphere while safeguarding property and individuals. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your security expertise in a lively hospitality environment, emphasizing safety, compliance, and proactive engagement.
Responsibilities
- Manage access and regulate entry and exit points efficiently and securely by checking all I.D.
- Perform regular patrols of the bar area, including entrances, exits to deter theft and maintain order.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by implementing emergency response procedures, including de-escalation, first aid, CPR and fire safety protocols as needed.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, disturbances, or safety concerns for future review.
- De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
- Handle physical security tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary and manual handling of equipment or supplies.
- Enforce compliance with all security regulations and licensing laws within the State of Nebraska related to alcohol service and public safety.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring their involvement.
- Securing establishment at end of the night and helping all staff cleaning up the bar and getting it ready for the next day shift.
Skills
- Experience in military/security roles demonstrating vigilance, attention to detail and ability to follow direction of security lead.
- Knowledge of bar enviorment procedures, incident report writing, conflict de-escalation techniques, and emergency response protocols.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patrons and team members alike.
- Physical security expertise including patrolling techniques, loss prevention strategies, and heavy lifting capabilities.
- Experience in performing visual and I.D. checks on individuals seeking entry within the venue.
- Excellent conflict management skills combined with a proactive approach to maintaining a safe environment.
- Compliance awareness regarding security regulations specific to hospitality venues or licensed establishments.
