Overview

Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and building automation controls.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and HVAC design plans to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults within electrical systems.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems using hand tools, welding equipment, and specialized diagnostic devices.
- Diagnose and resolve HVAC system malfunctions related to refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical components to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform routine HVAC system maintenance to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly about repairs, maintenance needs, and system performance to clients.
- Maintain detailed service records, work logs, and reports for all performed tasks; adhere to safety standards such as EPA certifications for refrigerant handling.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely while transporting tools or equipment between job sites.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or field service roles with a focus on HVAC system repair or installation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting and mechanical systems repair.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems (BAS), electrical diagnostics, plumbing, and refrigeration technology.
- Ability to read technical manuals and electrical diagrams accurately; experience with HVAC/R is highly desirable.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, welding equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices for effective repairs.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC/R or boiler licenses are advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a <PERSON> driver vehicle preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments; willingness to learn new skills related to building automation and advanced mechanical systems.

Pay: $28.00 - $45.00 per hour
