Job Description:
We are seeking professional and safety-focused Class A CDL Independent Contractor Drivers for Over-the-Road (OTR) operations. Drivers will transport freight in accordance with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations while providing reliable and on-time service.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Drivers are compensated on a per-mile basis and operate company-provided equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a tractor-trailer in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
Transport freight over-the-road as dispatched
Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and report any defects
Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and required trip documentation
Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and equipment issues
Follow all company safety, security, and operational procedures
Represent the company professionally with customers and the public
Position Details:
Over-the-Road (OTR) driving position
Compensation: $0.70 per mile on all dispatched miles (loaded and empty)
Weekly compensation paid every Friday via direct deposit
Company-provided tractor units (2021 or newer)
Fuel card and maintenance provided for company equipment
Engagement terms, compensation structure, and operational expectations are governed by an Independent Contractor Agreement.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
- Acceptable MVR in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
- No SAP drivers
- No major violations or preventable accidents within the last 5 years
- Ability to pass DOT drug & alcohol screening
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Must meet all FMCSA and DOT qualification requirements
- Ability to safely operate equipment in an OTR environment
Wage Range: 1400.00 - 2100.00 per week
General Description of Benefits: Pays $0.70 per mile on all dispatched miles, both loaded and empty, compensation is issued weekly on Fridays via direct deposit this is Independent Contractor (1099) position.
