Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fuel Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the transportation of fuel, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to analyze data to optimize dispatch operations.
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule fuel deliveries to various locations, ensuring timely service.
- Communicate with customer inquiries by phone and email.
- Help office personnel with creating work orders, creating deliveries and taking payments.
- Utilize Cargas Energy software for efficient dispatching.
- Analyze delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including data entry into relevant systems.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and suppliers to address any issues or changes.
- Monitor fuel inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure availability.
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette while managing inbound and outbound communications.
Experience
- Previous experience in dispatching or logistics is preferred, with a focus on fuel transportation being a plus.
- Proficiency in using dispatch software such as Cargas Energy is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data for decision-making purposes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette.
- Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate records is essential.
