We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Nurse Consultant to join our dynamic legal support team. Duties
- Review and analyze medical records, documentation, and reports for legal cases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation by summarizing complex medical information into clear, concise reports.
- Conduct medical record reviews for legal cases, identifying pertinent details related to patient care, treatment timelines, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support trial preparation by organizing evidence, preparing exhibits, and providing expert insights on medical terminology and physiology.
- Prepare detailed medical case review reports that highlight key findings relevant to civil litigation or insurance claims.
- Speak with potential clients regarding potential medical claims they may seek to assert.
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse required.
- Prior legal nursing experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical records review processes.
- Excellent writing skills for report creation, case summaries, and legal documentation.
- Experience with medical record review for legal cases and supporting attorneys during trial preparations is preferred.
- Computer skills, including word processing programs. Review of records may sometimes involve spreadsheets.
We are looking for someone who will work in the office three to four days a week. You would have your own physical office space, with free parking.
