About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated, permanent educator to join our team long-term. This is a full-time, year-round position (not seasonal) with a consistent daily schedule of 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate has a genuine love for working with children and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative classroom environment. You will play a vital role in supporting our teachers to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging space where children can learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Support: Implement daily lesson plans and educational activities that stimulate emotional, social, and intellectual growth.
- Supervision: Maintain a safe and healthy environment by monitoring children during play, mealtime, and naptime.
- Engagement: Lead small group activities, read stories, and encourage creative play to keep children engaged and active.
- Communication: Maintain a positive and professional relationship with parents, providing updates on their child’s day and milestones.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure the facility meets all safety and cleanliness standards throughout the day.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This shift plays a vital role in our daily routine, activities, and ensuring a smooth schedule for our classrooms.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience working in a childcare center, preschool, or classroom setting is required.
- Education: A current or completed degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Mindset: A "team-player" attitude with the ability to remain flexible and patient in a dynamic environment.
- Reliability: Proven track record of being dependable and punctual.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to be active with children (lifting, bending, standing) for extended periods.
