Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Coach to support individuals in their personal development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism. This role involves mentoring and guiding individuals in participating in community activities. The Coach will play a vital role in empowering clients through effective counseling, teaching, and support strategies.
Duties
- Provide mentorship and coaching to individuals with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism
- Assist clients with navigating community opportunities
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress, goals, and service plans
- Stay current on best practices in social work, mentoring, and related fields to continually improve coaching strategies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching, mentoring, or coaching roles within social services or workforce development settings
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism is highly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage diverse populations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Demonstrated commitment to social work principles, inclusion, and client empowerment
- Relevant certifications or educational background in social work, counseling, or related disciplines are advantageous
