Job Summary
Join our team as a Retail Sales Associate in Aurora! In this role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes customers, provides expert product knowledge, and creates an engaging shopping experience. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help customers find exactly what they need while ensuring they leave satisfied and excited to return.
Position Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services that meet their needs
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to enhance customer understanding and interest
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking activities
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and conducting stock checks
- Prepare products for sale by labeling and sealing them
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Assist with phone inquiries, demonstrating professional phone etiquette and communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Dexterity of hands and fingers
- Able to walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach with hands and arms, twist, balance, and bend at waist
- Ability to climb a step stool or ladder in order to stock or acquire product for sale
- Not sensitive to smells and fragrances
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Able to enthusiastically engage in conversation with our guests
- Available to work at least one weekend shift per week in addition to weekday shifts
- Strong customer service skills
- A positive, upbeat attitude
