Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused Garage Door Technician to join our growing team at ProLift Garage Doors of Amarillo. This position is responsible for diagnosing garage door issues, performing repairs and maintenance, installing new garage doors and openers, and delivering a high-quality customer experience on every job. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, works well independently, communicates professionally with customers, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time. Experience with residential garage doors is preferred, and commercial door experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential garage doors, garage door openers, springs, cables, rollers, tracks, panels, and related components
- Install garage doors, garage door openers, and related hardware according to company and manufacturer standards
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections on garage door systems
- Explain repair recommendations and options to customers in a professional, honest, and easy-to-understand manner
- Complete service tickets, notes, and job documentation accurately in company software
- Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked work vehicle
- Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite best practices
- Provide a high level of customer service on every call
- Work with office staff and leadership to communicate job progress, parts needs, and schedule updates
- Represent ProLift Garage Doors of Amarillo professionally in the field at all times
Qualifications
- Experience in garage door repair, installation, construction, mechanical service, or a related field preferred
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and lift equipment as needed
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing service calls efficiently
- Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to pass background screening and any applicable pre-employment requirements
- Residential garage door experience preferred
- Commercial garage door and operator experience is a plus, but not required

Pay: $800.00 - $3,000.00 per week
