Job Summary:
Vista Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The ICU RN will provide high-quality, critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert clinical judgment, advanced monitoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This role requires strong critical-thinking skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and intervention in accordance with ICU protocols.

Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians.

Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to assess patient conditions and respond to changes in status.

Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and ongoing care needs.

Ensure patient safety and adhere to infection control protocols.

Document all care provided accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).

Participate in emergency response situations, including resuscitation efforts.
Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.

Minimum of one (1) year of ICU, critical care, or step-down nursing experience preferred.

Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

Strong ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-acuity setting.
