JOB SUMMARY:
- The Behavioral Health Program Director is responsible for the outpatient behavioral health treatment services delivered by the Thrive Department. The Director will work with Brodstone leadership and other departments throughout the facility to meet the needs of Brodstone’s patient population.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

- Assist the leadership in developing the policies and functions of professional services in accordance with the goals of the organization.
- Select and maintain an adequate number of qualified personnel to handle the needs of the department.
- Orients new staff and volunteers working in the department.
- Provide general and direct supervision of department staff.
- Establishes standards for behavioral health services and ensures that the standards are maintained by the staff. Occ. #: Behavioral Health Program Director Page 2
- Participates in the planning, coordination, and evaluation of services in the department.
- Coordinate activities of all department personnel. Maintain balanced caseloads and organize work schedules utilizing staff appropriately. 1

Perform all duties of Behavioral Health Therapist position

Assist in solving administrative problems: determining lines of authority and functional responsibility in the department.
- Coordinate and participate in a quality improvement program for the department.

Consistently supports the Compliance Program and participates in ongoing monitoring of activities with respect to compliance related issues.

Responsible for discipline of department employees. Personally is involved with other supervisory staff in issuing warnings and suspension when facility policies are not fully adhered to.

Establish and maintain channels of communication with referring physicians, hospitals, etc.

Basic understanding of cost control which includes time management and setting priorities.

EDUCATION:

Required
- Master's Degree in Behavioral Health
EXPERIENCE:
-
Preferred:
-
1-2 years of work experience in psychiatric/addictive disease treatment facility. Previous supervisory experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION:

Required

State of Nebraska or Multi-State License as Licensed Independent Mental Health Provider, Licensed Mental Health Provider, or Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner.

BLS must be obtained within 6 month of employment
