Semiconductor Assembler – Job Description
Day Shift (5:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Front-End: Sunday–Tuesday + every other Wednesday
- Back-End: Thursday–Saturday + every other Wednesday
Night Shift (5:00 PM – 5:30 AM)
- Front-End: Sunday–Tuesday + every other Saturday
- Back-End: Wednesday–Friday + every other Saturday
Position Summary:
The Semiconductor Assembler is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing semiconductor components and electronic sub-assemblies in a cleanroom manufacturing environment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble semiconductor components, wafers, circuit boards, and sub-assemblies following work instructions and blueprints
- Perform micro-assembly using hand tools, microscopes, and precision instruments
- Operate manufacturing equipment and automated assembly machines
- Conduct visual inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications
- Perform basic testing and troubleshooting of assembled units
- Follow cleanroom protocols, ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions, and GMP procedures
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining high quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED (Associate degree in Electronics preferred)
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, or micro-assembly manufacturing
- Ability to read technical drawings and assembly instructions
- Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Familiarity with cleanroom environments and ESD safety
- Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking systems
