Role and Responsibilities:
- Follow all JSC rules and procedures.
- Enforce company Safety rules and procedures throughout the department and follow set example.
- Create 5s activities and enforce them throughout the department.
- Identify critical spare parts and order them as needed.
- Ensure PM system is on schedule and effective.
- Prepare and ensure that all items necessary for PM and Projects are readily available.
- Assist and participate in new model equipment specifications, implementation, validation, and process development.
- Support engineering with new equipment setup trials.
- Communicate existing and new equipment failures with engineering and management.
- Lead root cause analysis and 5P investigations.
- Support QA during Quality incident investigations and implement appropriate countermeasures.
- Perform cost reduction activities to reduce overall operating costs.
- Meet with Team Leaders Daily.
- Help with training and coaching with any maintenance department member.
- Ensure training is being completed, documented, tracked, and refreshed for all direct reports.
- Maintain skill matrix and career path development plan for each direct report including self.
- Continue leadership and management training through JSC’s developmental resources.
- Monitors daily overtime that is needed.
- Fill in for Maintenance Team Leaders as needed.
- Develop and generate reports pertaining to results and activities within the area of responsibility.
- Maintain TPM schedule per line to ensure uptime of machinery. (5S)
- Plan and schedule project timelines, orders parts.
- Constant monitoring of processes for improvement activity.
- Encourage associate’s continuous improvement ideas.
- Create work instructions or update as needed. Also ensure all WI’s are signed off by techs.
- Monitors all documents and forms for the correct revision on the stamping floor.
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly targets are met in coordination with the departments KPIs.
- Other duties as required by management.
