We’re seeking an experienced Window & Door Project Manager to lead residential replacement window and door projects from installation through completion. This role combines technical expertise, customer service, leadership, and operational excellence. What You’ll Do
As a Window & Door Project Manager, you’ll ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to Callen’s high standards of quality.
Project Leadership
· Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the installation phase of each project.
· Visit active jobsites daily to monitor quality, workmanship, progress, and customer satisfaction.
· Coordinate project schedules and proactively address issues that could impact quality or timelines.
· Identify unexpected field conditions and develop practical solutions while maintaining project integrity.
· Prepare and present construction defect change orders when required.
· Coordinate project communication between Sales, Production, Installation Teams, Customers, and Vendors.
· Coordinate and manage subcontractors by communicating project expectations, monitoring workmanship, verifying quality standards, resolving field issues, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and consistent with Callen’s standards.
Team Leadership
· Coach, mentor, and develop Window & Door installation teams.
· Promote a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
· Assist with installer training and ongoing skill development.
· Participate in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and coaching new team members.
· Support employee performance reviews and career development.
· Foster teamwork while promoting Callen’s culture, systems, and best practices.
Operations & Project Management
· Partner with the Project Coordinator to organize upcoming installations, warehouse staging, inventory, and material readiness.
· Maintain working knowledge of Infinity from Marvin, ProVia, and other premium window and door products.
· Assist with inventory management, warehouse organization, and ordering tools and supplies.
· Participate in Job Cost Review meetings and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and profitability.
· Coordinate warranty work, service orders, and project closeout documentation.
· Monitor installation hours, productivity, and project performance to support continuous improvement.
Customer Experience
· Build trust and confidence through proactive communication.
· Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly.
· Represent Callen Construction with integrity, professionalism, and exceptional service on every project.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for craftsmanship, customer service, and developing high-performing installation teams.
Qualifications
· Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience installing residential replacement windows and exterior doors.
· Previous experience leading installation crews, supervising field operations, or managing residential remodeling projects.
· Strong knowledge of premium replacement window and door installation methods, finish carpentry, flashing systems, weatherproofing, and building envelope best practices.
· Experience managing multiple residential projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedule, and profitability.
· Experience coordinating and holding subcontractors accountable for workmanship, safety, scheduling, and customer satisfaction.
· Ability to identify construction defects and develop practical field solutions.
· Strong leadership, coaching, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
· Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
· Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with premium replacement products such as Infinity from Marvin, ProVia, Andersen, or comparable manufacturers.
· Current EPA Lead-Safe Renovator (RRP) Certification for Wisconsin preferred, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
· Knowledge of Wisconsin and EPA Lead-Safe Renovation requirements, including proper containment, cleanup, documentation, and safe work practices when working in homes built before 1978.
