Experienced Fine Dining Food & Beverage Manager - Hyde Park Golf & Country Club
Core Expectations: Founded in 1909, Hyde Park Golf & Country Club has evolved into one of the premier country clubs in Cincinnati. We are currently seeking a Food & Beverage Manager. We are requiring 5+ years of recent upscale fine dining management experience, country club experience is a plus. The F&B Manager works in conjunction with other F&B management to ensure seamless operations in the dining room, banquet rooms, and outdoor Pavilion areas for members to enjoy.
We are looking for a polished, professional manager who enjoys leading and coaching hourly employees in a fine dining restaurant culture. This position's top priority will be to ensure our private membership and their guests receive a consistent fine dining food & beverage experience.
Key Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of recent food & beverage management experience in a country club, fine dining, and/or polished upscale restaurant setting.
- Working knowledge of country club and/or restaurant POS systems; preference for ClubEssentials experience.
- Must be outgoing, friendly, and passionate about providing exceptional service.
- Display excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must make difficult personnel decisions in a timely manner.
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
- Mastery in delegating multiple tasks.
- Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field is a plus.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of food and beverage areas. Ensures timeliness of food service.
- Assist peer managers in cross training programs across service, bar and kitchen departments to enable staff to flow to meet daily and seasonal fluctuations.
- Work on the floor to assist staff and peer managers. Maintain a high level of member contact throughout service hours.
- Oversee implementation of hiring & training procedures from interview to on boarding for all service staff; assists HR to ensure all necessary new hire documents are processed for compliance.
- Direct and administer active coaching to all service staff members in efforts to maintain service standards.
- Receive and resolve complaints from club members, guests and employees.
- Participate in daily facility inspections throughout the club to assure that cleanliness, maintenance, safety and other standards are consistently attained.
- Creates a seamless workflow between front-of-house back-of-house departments.
- Conducts regular staff meetings, pre/post event meetings to ensure a quality outcome for all event, monitors staff daily for adherence to dress code and service technique.
- Ensures physical inventories are conducted in the proper method each month and invoices are properly submitted to the business office in a timely manner.
- Opening/Closing clubhouse duties as scheduled. Undertakes special projects from the General Manager as required.
Physical/Verbal Requirements:
- Average 40-50 hours weekly. Capable of working extended hours, holidays as necessary. Rotating weekends and closing shifts with peer managers.
- Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed. Position involves kneeling, stooping, bending, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs. This can occur throughout the day.
- Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Must be able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and with good reasoning skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
