Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Dealership Diesel Service Manager to lead our diesel repair and maintenance operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily shop activities, manage a team of skilled technicians, and ensure exceptional service delivery for diesel-powered vehicles. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and customer service will drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the diesel service department, ensuring timely and accurate vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Supervise and motivate a team of service technicians, providing guidance on diagnostics, repairs, and best practices.
- Oversee vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, alignments, shocks & struts, tire services, oil changes, and more.
- Utilize estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare accurate repair estimates.
- Upsell additional services such as tire rotations, alignments, or suspension work to enhance customer value and department revenue.
- Maintain high standards of customer communication by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, dealership policies, and industry regulations while managing parts inventory and cash handling procedures.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by training staff on automotive diagnostics, auto estimating, collision repair techniques, and service writing.
Experience
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop management experience with a focus on diesel engines preferred.
- Extensive mechanic experience with strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with estimating software applications and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating systems.
- Demonstrated success in upselling services while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Experience managing service technicians in a fast-paced environment with strong leadership skills.
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, alignments, suspension work, brake repair, shocks & struts, tire service, and collision repair is essential.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicles safely is required.
- Excellent client communication skills combined with a passion for delivering outstanding auto service experiences.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
