Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our logistics team. Duties
- Receive incoming shipments by verifying contents against purchase orders using inventory management software and RF scanners.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately to meet customer specifications.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of all inbound and outbound shipments within warehouse management systems such as ERP or AS400.
- Conduct inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies using inventory management tools to ensure stock accuracy.
- Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries while adhering to trade compliance and international trade regulations.
- Assist with stock replenishment, stocking shelves, and organizing warehouse space for optimal workflow.
- Ensure packaging standards are met for safe transportation of goods across domestic and international borders.
- Support warehouse operations by performing data entry tasks related to order fulfillment, shipping documentation, and inventory updates.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing shipment inquiries promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles with familiarity in warehouse distribution processes.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRPs, and inventory management software.
- Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, trade compliance, international trade regulations, and order fulfillment procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification is preferred.
- Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately.
- Excellent data entry skills combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting purposes.
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate stocking, packing, and order picking.
- Customer service orientation with clear communication skills for interacting with team members and external partners.
