Qualifications & Experience:
Required Experience
-
Minimum of three years of Environmental Services, Housekeeping, Hospitality, or Facilities experience, preferably within a healthcare, senior living, hospice, rehabilitation, or hospital setting.

Previous experience serving as a team lead, preceptor, trainer, or informal leader is strongly preferred.

Experience working directly with patients, families, visitors, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, manage multiple responsibilities, and support daily operations in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership Expectations
In this role, you will:

Serve as a resource and day-to-day leader for Environmental Services teammates.

Assist with training, onboarding, coaching, and development of staff.

Help maintain staffing coverage and support daily operational needs.

Assist leadership with interviewing, selection, and resolution of employee concerns.

Lead by example and foster exceptional customer service throughout the facility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with others.

Experience operating Environmental Services equipment, including floor-care equipment, carpet extractors, scrubbers, compactors, and related tools.

Basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic systems.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain attention to detail.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions while adhering to safety standards and infection prevention guidelines.
Physical Requirements

Ability to frequently stand and walk for extended periods during the shift.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull equipment and supplies as needed.

Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.

Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and work with cleaning chemicals and disinfectants.

Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including occasional outdoor responsibilities during inclement weather.
