We are looking for a motivated and creative Marketing Intern to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of marketing strategies, researching industry trends, and helping collecting and consolidating prospective customer resource. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, an understanding of business development principles, and a passion for learning about the latest trends in the industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Good understanding on flow of Import/Export Cargo.
2. Track’n Trace and coordinate shipments from origin, carries and truckers
3. Verify shipment details (destination, ETA, commodity, weight, etc.)
4. Provide all associated documentation and obtain necessary documents
5. Assists with local/regional truckers, vendors to obtain best competitive rates
6. Understand department process flow, looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
7. Maintain courteous, prompt, and efficient customer service
8. Escalation of problems to management when necessary
9. In-depth communications with overseas agents, customs brokers, local pickup and delivery companies, regional trucking companies, line-haul providers, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)
10. Efficiently identify the most cost-effective solution based on each clients’ shipment specific needs
11. Establish and maintain personal relationships with current vendors and overseas agents
12. Maintain profitability of accounts and identify opportunities for increasing revenue and profit margins by negotiating pricing with vendors and clients
13. Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
14. Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
