PROJECT MANAGER
As a Project Manager at Johnson Metal Works, your responsibilities include the coordination and management of construction projects from start to finish. You will collaborate closely with team members to ensure project goals and objectives are met. Monitoring project progress, providing regular updates, and assisting in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services. Reviewing project plans, specifications, and blueprints for accuracy and compliance, conducting site visits and inspections to monitor construction activities and ensure quality control, and assisting in the resolution of any issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of the project are vital contributions to project success. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects at Johnson Metal Works.
Overview:

Reports to: Operations Manager

Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with potential overtime required

Work Environment: Position is largely in-office, but field visits to job sites do occur on an as-needs basis. Not a remote role.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Workflow Oversight: Lead daily workflow and assignments for the production shift, proactively planning and distributing schedules and projects to the team at least 1-2 days in advance for seamless operations.

Feedback and Support: Provide constructive and timely feedback to team members as required, fostering a culture of growth and improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate effectively with the Clients and General Contractors on projects to ensure timely milestones and project coordination.

Maintain accurate project documentation by creating and managing Change Orders, RFI's, and Submittals.

Manage project budgets.
-
Identify and resolve inconsistencies between specifications/plans and field conditions on projects to facilitate smooth progress.

Verify site readiness for installation and coordinate with field crews to achieve prepared sites for all projects, minimizing delays.

Organize and transfer information from the field to the office for all projects, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

Perform job "punch walks" and assist with job closeout for all projects to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards.

Identify & clarify any inconsistencies between specifications/plans and field conditions.

Education and Experience:
-
Construction Engineer/Management, Mechanical Engineer, ME Tech, or equivalent education

Knowledge of construction industry and building methodology
Physical Requirements:
-
Must be able to traverse the production facility and active job sites.

Must be present in Bozeman.
