Are you passionate about working with children and enjoy being on the road? We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Bus Driver / Classroom Floater to transport children safely between our childcare centers and local schools while also supporting our classrooms as needed.
This unique position offers a split-shift schedule with morning and afternoon bus routes, plus opportunities for overtime by assisting in classrooms during the day.
Position Summary
The Bus Driver / Classroom Floater is responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for children while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. Between driving assignments, this team member will assist teachers and directors by serving as a classroom floater, helping create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
Schedule
- Split Shift:
- Morning Bus Route
- Afternoon Bus Route
- Midday classroom support as needed
- Overtime opportunities available
Responsibilities
- Safely transport children to and from schools and childcare centers.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of the bus.
- Follow all traffic laws and company transportation policies.
- Maintain accurate transportation records.
- Ensure children are safely loaded, secured, and accounted for during transport.
- Communicate professionally with families, teachers, and center leadership.
- Assist in classrooms by:
- Supervising children
- Supporting teachers with activities
- Helping during meals, nap time, and transitions
- Maintaining classroom cleanliness and organization
- Float between multiple center locations as needed.
- Promote a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for children.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record (required)
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Previous experience driving children is preferred
- Experience working with children is a plus
- Reliable transportation to travel between multiple center locations
- Friendly, dependable, and professional
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and remain active throughout the day
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
