Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
- Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including reception duties.
- Ensure the dental office is organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional patient care in various specialties such as pediatrics and prosthodontics.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, aseptic techniques, infection control practices, and dental software such as Open Dental is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
