Experienced Cook / Kitchen Team Member (Full-Time & Part-Time)
Marino's MOB Burgers & Ice Cream is looking for an experienced, dependable, and hardworking Cook / Kitchen Team Member to join our growing team.
We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed. This is a hands-on position that includes cooking, food preparation, cleaning, stocking, dishes, and helping keep the kitchen running smoothly. Every member of our kitchen team works together, and no task is considered "below" anyone.
Position Overview
As a Cook / Kitchen Team Member, you'll prepare quality food while helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. Some shifts may require you to work independently, so you must be capable of operating the kitchen alone during slower business periods while maintaining food quality, speed, cleanliness, and organization. The ideal candidate is reliable, works with a sense of urgency, pays attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Grill burgers, prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, appetizers, and desserts with consistency and attention to detail.
- Complete daily food preparation, including chopping, slicing, portioning, and stocking.
- Confidently operate the kitchen independently during assigned solo shifts.
- Maintain food quality, presentation, and portion control at all times.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout each shift.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.
- Rotate inventory using FIFO methods and properly label and date all products.
- Receive, organize, and properly store deliveries.
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
- Communicate effectively with servers and fellow kitchen team members to ensure excellent guest service.
- Help wherever needed to keep the kitchen operating efficiently.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant cooking experience is required.
- Grill experience is preferred.
- Ability to independently operate a full-service kitchen during slower shifts.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Able to remain calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $18.00–$23.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time. Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
