Our clinic is a busy small animal practice dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team in a hybrid Veterinary Assistant/Kennel Attendant role.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working directly with animals, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn and grow in veterinary medicine.
Responsibilities
Your day may include a combination of:
Veterinary Assistant Duties
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians with appointments and treatments
- Safely restraining dogs and cats
- Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas
- Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
- Filling medications and preparing laboratory samples
- Helping with patient care and monitoring hospitalized animals
- Maintaining accurate medical records
Kennel Attendant Duties
- Feeding, walking, and caring for hospitalized and boarding pets
- Cleaning kennels, cages, and treatment areas
- Monitoring patients and reporting any concerns
- Ensuring the hospital remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Qualifications
- Veterinary experience preferred but willing to train the right person
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
