Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Laborer / Metal Roof Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of metal roofing systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with construction experience who are eager to develop their skills in roofing and related trades. You will work outdoors in various weather conditions, contributing directly to the transformation of residential and commercial buildings through expert craftsmanship and teamwork.
Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of metal roofing systems, including single-ply membrane roofing and siding installation.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and secure roofing materials according to project specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to ensure accurate installation.
- Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, and construction safety harnesses while adhering to all workplace safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks involving roofing materials, metal studs framing, masonry components, and other building materials.
- Support the setup and cleanup of job sites by organizing materials and disposing of debris following safety protocols.
- Follow detailed instructions from supervisors or project managers to ensure precise execution of roofing projects and restoration work.
Skills
- Construction estimating experience is a plus for understanding project scope and material needs.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety harnesses, ladder use, and workplace safety regulations is essential for safe operations at heights.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques relevant to roofing and carpentry.
- Experience in roofing repair, metal roofing installation, siding installation, stucco work, tile laying or related trades is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics and blueprints; familiarity with construction plans is important.
- Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with a focus on safety protocol adherence.
- Skills in framing carpentry, trim carpentry, caulking, remodeling or handyman tasks will enhance your versatility on site.
- Knowledge of construction site experience including scaffolding setup, heavy lifting techniques, plumbing or masonry work adds value.
