Refresh Valley Dental Group is a private dental practice in Northampton, MA. We are looking to hire a new dental assistant!
Are you considering trying something new?
Here at Refresh Valley Dental, we pride ourselves on our excellent patient care as well as our respectful and positive work environment. We compassion, collaboration, and professional growth. While we are excited to serve the whole community, we also have a special interest in making our queer and dentally anxious patients feel comfortable and respected. We care deeply about food security, and are proud to be an active supporter of the Northampton Survival Center. Finally, we try to keep the music fresh - our office playlist is over 300 hours long, and we like to switch it up with different themes sometimes too. While we understand this might not be the ideal environment for everyone, we’re hoping that the right dental assistant will feel right at home here.
We do not work on weekends and have one late day per week (the rest are early). Our dental assistants assist the doctors, explain treatment to patients, schedule the doctor's patients, coordinate with labs, do basic maintenance on the equipment, assure their rooms are disinfected, and sterilize instruments. They also help out the hygiene department with perio charting, photos, and suctioning for scaling and root planing patients when time allows.
The best assistant for the position will be a kind, efficient, detail focused individual, who is ready to grow. Someone with strong organization, communication, and leadership skills might also be able to quickly take on the role of an assistant lead, if desired! A current Massachusetts dental assisting license, and CPR certification at the time of hire are needed. We also require timeliness, flexibility, teamwork, cleanliness, organization, and a service-oriented attitude. Everyone here is expected to help each other if they have the time.
Our practice mission is to empower our community to live healthier lives, eat well, and smile with pride by making exceptional dental care easy, welcoming, and shame free, and we hope you feel the same way!
