Advanced Material Planner (Temp-to-Hire)
Pay: $25.00 per hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Advanced Material Planner to support our supply chain and purchasing operations. This role is responsible for forecasting material needs, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in demand planning, ERP systems, and inventory management, along with the ability to analyze data and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain material forecasting models for short- and long-term planning
- Generate and analyze forecasting and inventory reports
- Manage safety stock levels to support sales and service needs
- Coordinate advanced purchasing activities and procurement planning
- Create and manage purchase orders (POs), including tracking and expediting as needed
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and order quantities
- Investigate system discrepancies and resolve root causes
- Monitor backorders and take corrective action to ensure timely fulfillment
- Analyze inventory turnover and recommend improvements
- Maintain accurate data within ERP systems
- Support vendor relationship management and pricing negotiations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or demand planning
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP is a plus)
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of purchasing workflows and inventory control
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity
- Experience in the electronics industry is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in:
- Demand planning
- Safety stock planning
- Inventory analysis (max/min levels, turnover)
- Purchase order management
- Experience with SAP Supply Chain Management
