An MN Builders Assistant Project Manager is responsible for assisting in the planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, client satisfaction, and financial success of construction projects ranging in value from $500,000 to $15,000,000. This position will work closely with the field crew, design team, and designated Project Manager. This position reports directly to the assigned Senior Project Manager and/or the VP of Production and Quality Control. Job responsibilities include, but will certainly not be limited to, the following duties:
PROJECT PRICING
- Set up the project in Fieldwire or Procore document management platform, upload drawings, specifications, cut sheets
- Assist the Project Manager in preparing subcontractor scope documents
- Take off material quantities from drawings to use in procurement
- Send RFPs for procurement prior to and during the project
- Compare subcontractor proposals to confirm that all required scope is covered and that the bids are level
- Prepare CPM schedule
- Enter data in Sage 100 Contractor to assist the Senior Project Manager in contract budget preparation
PROJECT SCHEDULING
- Update the schedule bi-weekly
- Attend weekly OAC meetings
SUBCONTRACTOR MANAGEMENT
- Initial scheduling of subcontractors
- Send RFPs for Change Order work to Subcontractors
- Prepare Change Orders
- Subcontractor pricing for in-production buyout
- Attend initial walk-throughs & meetings with subcontractors
MATERIALS
- Order accessories & fixtures
- Warranty review & procurement
- Cost tracking
QUALITY CONTROL
- As-built drawing reconciliation
- Manage punch-list
DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT
- Process invoices
- Weekly meeting minutes & documentation
- Construction billings
- Write up weekly meeting agendas
- Prepare subcontracts for signature & collect current insurance
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
