Job Summary

Duties
- Stock shelves, produce sections, and display areas efficiently, ensuring products are fresh, organized, and appealing to customers
- Manage inventory levels through regular stock checks using RF scanners and inventory control systems
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities by loading and unloading shipments safely using pallet jacks and forklifts when certified
- Maintain cleanliness of the store by performing routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and sanitation of work areas
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, offering product recommendations, and assisting with checkout processes including cashiering
- Support merchandising efforts by setting up displays, rotating stock, and ensuring signage is accurate and attractive
- Follow safe lifting practices during manual handling of heavy or bulky items to prevent injuries
Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques and retail math principles
- Experience operating RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts (certified preferred), and other warehouse equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages; bilingual skills are a plus
- Familiarity with produce handling, packaging, stocking, and merchandising standards in grocery stores
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory control and stock rotation
- Proven customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Experience in shipping & receiving processes along with materials handling expertise
- Knowledge of retail sales procedures including cashiering and point-of-sale systems
- Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
