We are seeking a Licensed Home Inspector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping clients understand the condition of their property. This role involves performing residential home inspections, writing detailed reports, and maintaining strong communication with clients and real estate agents.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of homes, including structural, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Review blueprints and schematics to understand the design and layout of properties.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure that construction meets established standards and regulations.
- Analyze data collected during inspections to identify defects or areas needing attention.
- Collaborate with contractors and homeowners to discuss findings and recommend necessary repairs or improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, including photographs and written reports.
- Stay updated on local building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Provide guidance on construction management practices to improve overall property quality.
Experience
- We are only considering candidates who possess actual experience as a home inspector (having performed 50 paid home inspections or more), directly related experience with InterNACHI/CREIA/ASHI certification, or a recent graduate with an AA or a degree in construction science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in construction or related fields is essential.
Qualifications
- Pass a background check
- Have a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of residential building systems and components.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable using mobile devices and inspection software.
- Document inspection findings accurately through photos, videos, and written notes.
- Maintain organized inspection logs and digital records of all completed inspections.
- Write clear, detailed inspection reports using company-approved software, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Ability to climb roofs, enter crawlspaces, and work in various weather conditions.
- Customer-service-oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations effectively.
- Understanding of the home buying process / real estate
- Knowledge of Infrared Thermal Imaging
- Ability to work unsupervised 90%

Pay: $50,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
