Primary Responsibilities
Customer Experience
- Welcome customers and create a positive first impression.
- Conduct customer needs assessments to recommend the best vehicle.
- Demonstrate vehicle features, safety systems, technology, and available options.
- Accompany customers on test drives while highlighting vehicle performance and benefits.
- Deliver new vehicles and provide complete technology orientation, including Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, and mobile app setup.
- Follow up after delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
Sales & Product Knowledge
- Become the dealership's expert on all new vehicle models, trim levels, accessories, incentives, and manufacturer programs.
- Stay current on competitive vehicles and industry trends.
- Assist customers with selecting options, accessories, and protection packages.
- Support the sales team during peak business hours and special events.
- Assist with internet leads, phone inquiries, and appointment scheduling.
- Utilize the dealership CRM to document customer interactions and maintain follow-up activities.
Cross-Department SupportThis position plays an important role throughout the dealership and may assist with:
- Sales
- Business Development Center (BDC)
- Finance & Insurance (F&I)
- Service Department
- Parts Department
- Customer Relations
- Vehicle Deliveries
- Inventory Management
- Merchandising and lot organization
- Community events and dealership promotions
Administrative Responsibilities
- Complete manufacturer training and certification requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer records.
- Assist with inventory displays and showroom presentation.
- Help prepare sold vehicles for delivery.
- Support dealership marketing initiatives and social media content when needed.
- Maintain Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) goals.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive experience preferred but not required.
- Customer service, hospitality, retail, technology, or sales experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable learning new vehicle technology and digital tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a team-first mentality.
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
