Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the timely and accurate entry of data into computer systems, packing products in boxes, and preparing them for shipment. Identifies discrepancies, takes initiative to solve errors and reports variances to the Warehouse Manager for resolution. This position will require strong knowledge of computer operations and shipping software, attention to detail, a focus on quality, problem-solving, and time management skills. It’s important to maintain good attendance and be punctual when arriving at work. Must have the ability to learn and grasp key elements of the job quickly, follows policies and safety procedures, and displays a positive approach and attitude to their work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Transfer information from online applications to shipping systems software; create and assemble orders that will be shipped to consumers.
· Maintain database by entering new and updated account information.
· Capable of accurate data entry by following data program techniques and procedures.
· Verifies entered account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data.
· Provide occasional administrative support as required.
· Operate office equipment (copier, scanner).
· Complete special projects and other activities and task as assigned.
Skills / Qualifications:
· Organization skills, attention to details
· Analytical skills
· Experience with Microsoft Excel
· Experience in data entry (2+ years)
· Operate a lift truck, Orderpicker, and electric walkie; must have valid operators license or possess the skills to be certified
· Preparing orders for shipment
· Replenishment and bin transfers
· Inventory control and cycle counting
Qualifications and requirements:
The warehouse worker should have a passion for organization. The ideal candidate works well in a team environment and can multitask while paying close attention to details. Skills include the following:
· Communication skills: the warehouse worker will interact with many people; it’s important to be an effective, detailed communicator for activities to run smoothly. Fluency in English is expected.
· Attention to detail: Ability to work in a fast-paced environments while paying close attention to shipment details, record maintenance, invoice tracking, and order discrepancies.
· Problem-solving skills: the warehouse worker are natural problem-solvers, as shipments may have issues that result in the requirement to research, escalate, and resolve issues effectively.
· Experience using transaction software, shipping management software, and experience with Microsoft Office.
· Team players: the warehouse worker will interact with others on a regular basis; they are required to be team players to allow the organization to succeed.
Must confirm either United States citizenship, permanent residence status, or work permit.
