Essential Functions:
Answer phone calls.
Brief patients and their families on after-therapy care.
Guide patients through exercises where necessary.
Lift or move patients. Monitor patients during sessions.
Sanitize therapy area.
Set up therapy equipment.
Massage and stretch muscles where necessary.
Schedule appointments.
Skills Abilities:
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels.
Certification from a physical therapist assistant program.
Valid physical therapist assistant license.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Computer literacy skills.
Working Conditions:
Exposure to distressed patients, families or visitors.
Possible exposure to inside environmental conditions.
Physical Demands:
Requires standing, sitting or walking for up to 8 hours or longer per day.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Active MO license for Physical Therapy Assistant
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience.
