As a Controls Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, programming, troubleshooting, and improving the automation systems that keep the operation running at peak performance.

What You'll Do
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen-Bradley PLC systems.
- Support production by diagnosing and resolving controls, automation, and electrical issues.
- Improve machine reliability, uptime, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Design, modify, and implement PLC and HMI programming for new and existing equipment.
- Support equipment startups, installations, and commissioning activities.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, throughput, and reliability.
- Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Maintain and update electrical drawings, PLC documentation, and controls standards.
- Assist with capital improvement projects and automation upgrades.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field preferred.
- Experience programming and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Experience with HMI systems, VFDs, industrial networking, and electrical controls.
- Manufacturing experience is required.
- Strong electrical and automation troubleshooting skills.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and control panel drawings.
- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and machine controls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for automation.
