At the Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO), our facilities support commercial air service, general aviation, tenants, and over a half million travelers each year. As a
Facilities Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for the systems that keep the airport running—from HVAC, electrical, and plumbing to heavy equipment and snow removal operations.
This is a permanent afternoon/evening position, with a base schedule of Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m. This dedicated shift expands maintenance coverage into the afternoon and evening hours, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide range of facility and airfield needs while supporting airport operations beyond the traditional daytime schedule. During non-winter months, four 10-hour shifts may be available. Weekend work is required during snow removal events and maintenance emergencies.
This role is great for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment where no two workdays are the same and can confidently handle the varied technical demands of our facilities and airfield.
Investing in Your Growth
We’re committed to helping you grow your career. Our
pay-for-certification program rewards employees who earn professional certifications with corresponding wage increases. In recognition of your dedication, especially during snowplow shifts that may include weekends, nights, and holidays, we offer a
$560 monthly bonus for snow removal from December through March.
