Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role is responsible for generating new business and expanding existing customer relationships with contractors, builders, distributors, and homeowners across Colorado and surrounding regions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong sales skills, excellent communication, and a passion for the building products industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, identify, and develop new business opportunities with contractors, builders, and distributors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current customers to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and site visits to showcase TruLog siding solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, customer service, and operations) to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements within established company guidelines.
- Manage a sales pipeline and report progress regularly to leadership.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor products, and market opportunities.
- Represent TruLog at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
- Travel requirements: Daily travel, limited overnight travel (less than 25%)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of outside sales experience, preferably in building materials, construction products, or related industries.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel regionally within Colorado (company vehicle allowance/mileage reimbursement provided).
- Direct experience with fire-rated assemblies, WUI (wildland-urban interface) construction, or building code-driven sales (Class A assemblies, ignition-resistant construction, IBHS/insurance-driven retrofits)
- Installation or estimating background, time on a job site counts heavily here
- Experience launching a new product line or opening a new territory
- Existing relationships with Colorado/Mountain West roofing and siding contractors

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
