Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated certified Toddler teacher to join our family owned and operated childcare center! A vibrant educational community that prioritizes a positive and safe learning environment for children ages 1.5-3 years.
The ideal candidate will have availability to work a 9-5:30PM schedule, a strong commitment to child development and early childhood education, and enjoy fostering a nurturing environment that promotes learning through play and traditional academic experiences for young children. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, implementing curriculum development strategies, and ensuring the overall well-being of students in a private childcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Educate children in various subjects, focusing on developmentally appropriate education and foundational self help skills.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum.
- Establish and maintain positive and communicative relationships with children and their families, as well as with colleagues and administration.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage good behavior.
- Provide and assist in early intervention strategies for children with special educational needs, ensuring all students receive the support they require.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Interacting with children to support play, exploration, and learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student progress and any concerns regarding child welfare.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the learning experience and share best practices.
- Conduct age appropriate assessments and develop portfolios for each child's individualized progression.
- Maintain a clean classroom environment by cleaning and disinfecting daily, per center policies.Qualifications
- EEC Teacher Qualified
- A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds in a supportive environment.
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum one year experience working with early childhood-aged students in an educational setting (preferred).
- Abide by all necessary State and Federal clearances.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practice and early childhood development.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and early intervention strategies for special education.
- Ability to develop engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of young learners.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to complete a total of 20 hours of professional development throughout the year (both independently and through center-wide scheduled professional development opportunities).
- 18 years or older (preferred).
- Available to work a schedule of M-F -9am - 5:30PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
