Duties
- Assist with loading, unloading, and sorting mail and packages at the warehouse or distribution center
- Drive a box truck or <PERSON> driver vehicle along designated routes, adhering to safety and traffic laws
- Load and secure parcels efficiently using forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary
- Deliver mail and packages to rural addresses, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs
- Load and unload deliveries at various stops, handling heavy lifting with proper technique
- Maintain route logs, delivery records, and delivery confirmation documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers to confirm deliveries and address any questions or concerns
Skills
- Proven experience in delivery driving or courier roles with route driving familiarity
- Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions during deliveries
- Warehouse experience including loading/unloading and equipment operation such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or <PERSON> drivers preferred
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is advantageous
- Competence in operating commercial vehicles like box trucks or heavy-duty trucks for delivery purposes
