Community Health Alliance (CHA) is looking for a Family Physician with Outpatient Obstetrics. The Family Physician with expertise in obstetrics, specializes in outpatient obstetrics at our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). They will provide comprehensive obstetrical care and coordinate delivery and prenatal care with our community partner. This role focuses exclusively on outpatient obstetric care, ensuring integrated and continuous care for our patients.
CHA is a federally qualified health care facility (FQHC) located in Reno, Nevada with six clinics located throughout the community.
We provide an extensive range of healthcare screening and prevention services, comprehensive primary care for all ages, pharmacy, pediatric dental services, management of chronic diseases, outreach to and services for homeless individuals and families, and behavioral health care. In addition, Community Health Alliance manages a Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program. As a FQHC, we also provide community education on health issues and outreach to underserved populations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the essential functions, practices and procedures of a medical clinic and office
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9/10-CM coding
- Knowledge of and ability to diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and injuries in the scope of OB/GYN, acting as part of a Care Team that is assigned to an empanelled patient group.
- Knowledge of, skills related to and ability to treat medical emergencies
- Thorough understanding of infection control procedures and standards of care for reproductive health
- Skill in operating personal computer utilizing word processing, databases and e-mail
- Skill in operating various office equipment: calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and telephone
- Skill in operating various medical office equipment, such as; EKG machine, pulse oximeter, nebulizer, spirometer, audiology, sterilizers, etc.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, patient financial and medical information
- Ability to read, write legibly, calculate mathematical figures and medication doses
- Ability to provide accurate, effective care under pressure
- Ability to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of variables as a Care Team member
- Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions
- Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members in a Care Team structure to build and to enhance teamwork in the clinics and overall CHA's organization
- Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to create tailored treatment plans
- Ability to interview and communicate either in person of with an interpreter with patients in a clinical setting in Spanish

Education and Experience:
Education and Certification:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Fellowship training or significant experience in obstetrics preferred.
Licensure:
- Valid medical license to practice in Nevada or the ability to become licensed in Nevada.
- DEA certification.
Experience:
- Experience in obstetrics within a primary care setting.
