Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) | Medford, OR
Location: Medford, OR 97504
Schedule: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Contract Length: 16 Weeks
We are seeking a qualified Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) for a 16-week travel assignment in Medford, OR. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sleep professional to work in an accredited sleep lab performing overnight diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies.
Responsibilities:
- Perform overnight polysomnography (sleep studies) for adult patients.
- Prepare patients for testing by applying monitoring equipment and explaining procedures.
- Monitor and document sleep patterns, respiratory events, cardiac rhythms, and neurological activity throughout the night.
- Initiate and titrate CPAP/BiPAP therapy as ordered by the physician.
- Troubleshoot sleep study equipment and ensure accurate data collection.
- Maintain detailed patient documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Active Oregon Polysomnography License (required at time of submission)
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential
- Current BLS certification
- Experience performing diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies
- Strong knowledge of sleep disorders, CPAP/BiPAP therapy, and sleep lab equipment
Assignment Details:
- 16-week travel contract
- Night Shift: Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Friday night shift extends into Saturday morning
- Block scheduling required
- No on-call
- No floating
- 2:1 patient ratio
- 48-hour schedules not approved
