Travel Mammography Technologist – Breast Imaging
Location -Boston, Massachusetts
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a busy breast imaging department for a travel assignment. This position is ideal for a skilled imaging professional with extensive experience in diagnostic breast imaging, mammography, and breast ultrasound.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will demonstrate excellent organizational, technical, and patient care skills.
Schedule
8-hour day shifts
Monday through Friday
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
40 hours per week
Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly
On-call hours are not included in the guaranteed hours
Responsibilities
Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations
Assist with mammography-guided procedures
Conduct breast ultrasound examinations
Support breast biopsy procedures
Accurately document patient information within the electronic medical record
Archive and manage imaging studies using PACS
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout imaging procedures
Collaborate with radiologists and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Maintain imaging equipment and follow quality assurance protocols
Required Qualifications
Active ARRT certification
Massachusetts Mammography certification
ARRT or ARDMS certification in breast ultrasound or breast sonography
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Minimum of 3-5 years of diagnostic breast imaging experience in an imaging center
Minimum of 1 year of experience using the McKesson PACS image archive system
Minimum of 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
Strong breast imaging experience is required
Preferred Experience
Upright stereotactic biopsy experience
Prone table biopsy experience
Experience with Hologic mammography systems
Experience using Phillips IU22 and GE Pristina ultrasound equipment
