Job Requirements:
An MD or DO degree, board certification in anesthesiology and pediatric anesthesiology (or equivalent) with ongoing maintenance of certification and meet credentialing requirements for Children's National Hospital Division of Anesthesiology, Pain, and Perioperative Medicine.
Job Description:
Children's National Hospital, a free-standing, academic pediatric hospital in Washington, DC, is consistently ranked in the top 10 in the USN&W rankings of pediatric hospitals. We are a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma center and hold Level 1 Pediatric Surgery Verification from the American College of Surgeons. Faculty have academic appointments at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
We have a team of 40 pediatric anesthesiologists, 15 Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants, four Nurse Practitioners and trainees covering 20 operating and procedure rooms, 2 cardiac ORs, 3 cardiac catheterization labs, preoperative care clinic, and a radiology suite that includes six MRI scanners, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology. Children's National hosts ACGME-certified fellowship training programs in Pediatric Anesthesiology, Cardiac Anesthesiology, and Pain Medicine. Residents from George Washington University, Uniformed Health Services University (National Capital Consortium), and Georgetown University rotate here for their pediatric anesthesiology training.
