Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs throughout the clubhouse and property.
- Assist with interior and exterior painting projects, including surface preparation and touch-up work.
- Complete routine janitorial duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and trash removal.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, locker rooms, offices, dining areas, and other common spaces.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs such as replacing faucets, unclogging drains, and repairing toilets.
- Assist with basic electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs, switches, and fixtures when appropriate.
- Assemble and move furniture, equipment, and supplies for club events and daily operations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance storage areas and workshops.
- Perform pressure washing of sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and building exteriors as assigned.
- Assist with preventative maintenance projects throughout the property.
- Report maintenance issues requiring specialized repairs to the Facilities Manager or General Manager.
- Safely operate maintenance equipment and hand tools.
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and Boca Lago safety procedures.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments.
- Assist with seasonal projects and special assignments as needed.
- Support emergency cleanup efforts during storms or other unforeseen events.
- Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous service to members, guests, and fellow employees.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities, janitorial services, or general handyman work preferred.
- Basic knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, and general maintenance practices.
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to changing operational needs.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and reach for extended periods.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout an assigned shift.
Schedule
- Full-time position with availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club operations.
