We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Urgent and Critical Care team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in urgent and critical conditions, ensuring timely assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication with patients and healthcare team members.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments in urgent and critical care settings.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions.
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and lab results.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
- Provide patient education and counseling regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., ANCC, AANP) with a focus on urgent or critical care preferred.
- Experience in urgent care, emergency, or critical care settings highly desirable.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Availability to work nights and weekends is preferred to meet the needs of our patient population.
