Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical QAQC/CWI Specialist to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality control and quality assurance across all mechanical systems on construction sites.
What You'll Do
- Inspect process piping, welding, and installation work throughout construction and commissioning.
- Verify work complies with project specs, SOPs, FDA standards, and industry codes (ASME B31.3, BPE, etc.).
- Review and maintain inspection reports, turnover packages, and quality documentation.
- Identify quality issues/non-conformances and work with contractors and project teams to resolve them.
- Support audits, material receiving inspections, and validation activities.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, piping drawings, and quality requirements.
- Ensure accurate, traceable records in a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Must-Haves
- CWI and/or ASNT Level II certification (strongly preferred/required).
- 2+ years of QA/QC, welding inspection, or related experience.
- Hands-on weld inspection experience.
- OSHA 30.
- Strong documentation and quality reporting skills.
- Ability to interpret piping codes, specifications, and standards.
- Experience in pharma, biopharma, food & beverage, semiconductor, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Willingness to work significant overtime (working 6- 10s)
