Overview:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift; May include evenings and weekends based on community/school events.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: Under the direct supervision, the Youth Educator/Advocate assists in educating and advocating for high risk youth in relation to the objectives of a specific program.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
Required:

1+ years of experience working with youth and providing peer education;
-
Knowledge of issues relating to specific program (substance use prevention and youth advocacy).
Preferred:
-
Previous experience working with High School students.
-
Experience in developing and delivering substance use prevention materials.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
