Prepare meals according to menu, recipes, and census. Prepare and serve residents’ meals using proper food handling techniques and portion control. Prepares special diets as needed based on the guidelines of the modified menu and recipe. Responsible for correct diet implementation.
Assist in the receiving and storage of food supplies. Monitor daily food storage temperatures. Complete daily and weekly cleaning assignments. Follow Department’s safety and sanitation guidelines. Clean all food service delivery equipment and dishware. Must be able to push/pull 50lbs. or more daily.
Other Duties
Monitor Dietary aides daily in the absence of Food Service Manager. Performs other duties as may be assigned that are within Dietary department’s mission and as situations warrant in meeting the overall needs of the facility. Follows work flow sheets for all assigned tasks daily/weekly and have shift supervisor check assignments before shift end.
Cross trains in all dietary work areas to ensure proficiency.
May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
