Job description:
Manchester Early Learning Center (MELC) is seeking passionate Program Manager for our offsite School-Age Programs. The Program Manager provides coverage and support across various program sites as needed. This role is responsible for maintaining program operations, supporting staff, and ensuring continuity of services during planned or unplanned absences. Program Manager lead engaging before and after-school programs for elementary students as part of our partnership with Manchester Board of Education. Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- Hours: 10:00am-6:00pm
Compensation:
- $45,000 annually

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations of an offsite School-Age Program
- Develop engaging curriculum that sparks curiosity and learning
- Plan diverse activities: active games, science experiments, creative projects
- Build strong relationships with families and school personnel
- Manage site budget for supplies, activities, and family events
- Mentor and supervise program staff
- Maintain a safe environment exceeding licensing standards
- Collaborate with other Program Managers across sites
Qualifications
- Preferred: 12 credits in child development, elementary education, recreation, or group social work (or equivalent experience)
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
- Passion for working with school-age children
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Creativity and problem-solving abilities
