Educational/Training/Experience/License Required:-
Massachusetts DESE Licensure in Special Education Severe Disabilities (512)

Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred

Experience working with students with significant disabilities preferred
Responsibilities:-
Provide specialized instruction aligned with student IEP goals using appropriate instructional strategies and materials.

Deliver instruction in both inclusion and specialized settings based on student needs and IEP requirements.

Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the IEP team.

Collect and use student data to monitor progress and adjust instruction as needed.

Coordinate special education services to ensure consistent implementation of IEPs.

Maintain a structured learning environment that supports student engagement, learning, and appropriate behavior.

Collaborate with general education teachers to support access to curriculum and inclusion opportunities.

Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and parent conferences as appropriate.

Conduct assessments and contribute to evaluation and reevaluation reports as required.

Supervise and support paraprofessional staff assigned to the classroom or program.
-
Maintain accurate records including progress reports, documentation, and required reporting.

Ensure compliance with district policies and all state and federal special education regulations.

Participate in required professional development and training.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Special Education Coordinator and the Building Principal.

SALARY: Salary and benefits in accordance with the Berlin-Boylston Regional School District Teachers Contract
