Elev8 Center of New Jersey Treatment Facility is seeking a compassionate and experienced Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join our multidisciplinary team. This role is ideal for a dedicated Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing high-quality medical care to adults receiving treatment for substance use disorders (SUD) and co-occurring behavioral health conditions.
As an APN, you'll play a vital role in helping patients begin and maintain their recovery by providing comprehensive medical care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and delivering evidence-based treatment in a supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, physical exams, and health histories.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Evaluate patients for admission and determine medical appropriateness for treatment.
- Prescribe, adjust, and monitor medications in accordance with New Jersey regulations.
- Manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) within scope of practice.
- Monitor patients throughout detoxification and residential treatment.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other members of the treatment team.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment meetings.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, wellness, and relapse prevention.
- Maintain compliance with DEA, HIPAA, CARF, Joint Commission, and New Jersey Department of Health standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medical staff meetings.
Qualifications Required
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) License in good standing.
- Board Certification as one of the following: Board Certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
- Current DEA and CDS registration.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Ability to prescribe medications in accordance with New Jersey regulations.
- Excellent clinical assessment, diagnostic, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred
- Experience working in:
- Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment
- Detoxification
- Residential treatment
- Behavioral health
- Addiction medicine
- Psychiatry
- Experience managing Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including buprenorphine and extended-release naltrexone.
- Knowledge of ASAM Criteria and evidence-based addiction treatment.
- Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Pay: $145,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
